What Are You Advertising?

When you see a billboard as you're driving down the road or on the highway, what do you see? In the 2.5 seconds of seeing it, what did you learn about it? Was it useful? Was it something that you can apply to your life? Did it make an impact on your day? Depending on the location of the billboard, it has the potential to be seen by millions of people, and the potential to change millions of lives. The entity behind the billboard want's to reach as many people as possible. They also have to be strategic about it. They have to give you so much information in a matter of seconds, so they have to put their best foot forward to draw you in. Once they draw you in and you call that number or go the website, they've got you!

This is how it should be with us when it comes to the Kingdom of God. We are walking billboards for His Kingdom. There may not be millions of people in our lives, but they will definitely "drive by" our lives. What are they seeing when they see you? Are they seeing Christ? Are they seeing love and kindness? Can they tell from a distance who you represent? What are you advertising?

Sometimes, we may only have seconds to make an impact on someone's life, so we have to put our best foot forward. This is why it is so important that we are always representing God excellently. People who don't know who you are should be able to tell that there is something different about you by just having a simple conversation. Those that do know who you are should come to you when they need prayer and encouragement, because they know that you are a mighty woman of God.

The Bible says that we are ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). God does His work through us. So what are we advertising in our lives to show others that Christ is the way? What are we advertising in our homes, our language, our conversation, our body language? Are we advertising faith? Are we advertising victory? Are we advertising peace, love, patience, grace, forgiveness, mercy?

Let this be a time to sit back and allow God to examine you (Psalm 139:23-24). Ask Him, "Am I representing You the right way? Am I doing my best to show people who You are through my life?" If you find that you haven't, then repent, turn back to God and ask Him what you need to do, to represent Him better? Then, do it. Be obedient to what He tells you to do?

Living your life for God is not always the easiest, but it does have the best rewards, insurance, assurance, and excitement, when you do not get weary. So, Warrior Queen, what are you advertising?

Now, go forth and conquer!
